LEGION OF THE DAMNED Wants To Get Fans Involved In Upcoming DVD

Dutch thrash metal band LEGION OF THE DAMNED will film its performance at the Thrash Assault 4 festival on November 14, 2009 at Posthalle in Würzburg, Germany for an upcoming DVD. According to a posting on the group's web site, LEGION OF THE DAMNED's setlist "will contain songs we haven't played in a very long time."

Commented the band: "As many of you know, LEGION OF THE DAMNED will be releasing an official full length DVD in April 2010, for this DVD the band is extremely excited in doing something with the fans.

"The band wants to invite 6-12 true, die-hard LEGION OF THE DAMNED fans to visit them in their rehearsal room in Helden (Holland),the band will then play songs which the invited people want to hear, he or she who plays drums, guitars, bass or even sings is free to join the band as well during this rehearsal. After that, there is time for drinks and able to chat with the boys. In the evening a spectacular dinner is planned with the band including a spectacular fire-show, of course with drinks. Next to this everybody gets a LEGION OF THE DAMNED package.

"Everything will be filmed, edited and placed on the official LEGION OF THE DAMNED DVD.

"How you come to Helden is on your own costs but the band is willing to pay for a hotel, if necessary. Dinner and drinks will also be paid by the band.

"This special event will take place Saturday, November 21.

"How you can be part of it? Write us a mail to booking@legionofthedamned and tell us why you should be part of it, of course sending us pictures of your LEGION OF THE DAMNED tattoo or anything other related to LEGION OF THE DAMNED will, of course, help!"

"Cult Of The Dead", the most recent video from LEGION OF THE DAMNED, can be viewed below. The song comes off the group's latest album, "Cult of the Dead", which was released on December 19, 2008 via Massacre Records. The LP was made available in three different formats: three-disc deluxe edition including a bonus CD and a bonus DVD; a limited-edition digipack with a bonus DVD and regular jewel case CD. The three-disc deluxe edition includes a CD containing a recording of the band's performance at Germany's Rock Hard festival in 2006 and a DVD featuring footage of LEGION OF THE DAMNED playing the entire "Cult of the Dead" album in the band's rehearsal room plus interview clips.
